My name is Kritika sharma and my very old neighbour Shruti karnik is threatening me to file a rape case against me. She is saying that I raped her when we were kids about 16 years ago. I don't know what the reason is behind such act of hers? But I am innocent and I have not done any such thing. Please help me.

A.Hi
First and foremost the allegation of rape is 16 years past limitation time and as such the allegation will not hold water.
Also, if you were below 21 years of age at the time of incident, you cannot be prosecuted now as minors are entitled for benefits under juvenile system.
You may ignore such allegations and stay away from trouble maker.

A.see you can record you and her conversation and if you are genuinely right then you need not to worry and then let her file the case or FIR if you are innocent need not to worry and it would be better with all true facts you meet to some local criminal lawyer

A.Hi,
16 years is such a big gap that it would be tough for anyone to establish a crime. I am sure the police shall not take cognizance of such allegation without proper investigation.
However, you need to consult with us in detail to prepare you to face any such question.

A.Please clarify whether this advice for any friend of yours, i.e. male friend or for yourself. Your question and description are totally different. with the limited facts that you have given, I would advice that do not engage in any conversation with the neighbour. It could possibly be some motivated attack, for reasons best known to your neighbor. In the event the situation escalates, go to the nearest local police station and lodge a complaint to safeguard yourself. In case of emergency, you may dial #103.

A.Kritika,
if you have not done any wrong, don't worry,
try to settle the matter amicably by talking her with the help of family/friends,
there must be some reason for making those threats,
you can contact me for a detailed discussion,
