Reg. The Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act Reg. The Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act

I have been scouring the internet regarding any amendments to clauses regarding punishments and fines for maiming, hurting or killing strays (cat, dogs, or otherwise) in The Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act of 1960.
Could someone please provide some clarity regarding the same? From what I know, the penalty for killing stray dogs is still set at Rs. 50 and so on..

A.Dear Sir,
Such sections needs to be amended but politicians so called law makers have not time. Any such provision will be read with section 428 of IPC which is punishable upto 2 years.
Please give me Rank 5 if you feel my answer helped you.
