A.Dear Sir,
It is purely contractual and civil case. You may take injunction against the police and other party saying due to change circumstances you could not complete the construction. Police cannot file FIR as it is civil in nature. Get anticipatory bail also. If you are afraid of police then they will behind every time. Please give me Rank 5 if you feel my answer helped you.

A.I have gone through your query in detail.
1) If you have taken some project to complete you should have by default made a small kind of contract agreement about the START DATE the END DATE and what are the features of the project and what all work has to be done, which should have been signed by both the parties between you and the client.
2) Now as client has gone to the police station, the police have NO legal rights to interfere between the projects of what you both have began.
3) If possible take help of a lawyer and call the client to speak over to him as this is a no case of police station but a legal matter consent to the civil Court. But if you are sure to complete the project in near future then make a amicable settlement between you and the client and close of the matter. But one thing is for sure that you have to be on your words as per the project you have undertaken there can be a slight delay but not a prolonged delay.
4) So try to finish it off as early as possible and avoid any kind of legal hazards as you are at booming stage of your career and so make a good market name so that you get more projects of such 50 lacs rupees as most of the work comes from the market only by good reference work so do not spoil your reputation by keeping these projects uncompleted

If you realize my professional skills, the time & efforts put in by me needs to be truly appreciated, and then Please “CLICK MY LIKES/ THUMBS UP/GIFT” button shown below this reply format & also CLICK/ WRITE a “REVIEW” in 5 star as I have answered your query in detail. A.1.You can ask for time on the ground of the COVID-19.
2. The statement given to the police has no binding. basically this is a civil dispute, and the police cannot interfere.
3. Based on the agreement, you can explore the possibility of taking the matter to the civil court and gaining some time.
