Hello respected madam,
I was using a sim from reliance jio that has been terminated due to non usage and has been allocated to some other person.
The person presently using it has been harassing and blackmailing women.
Couple of police from various locations from Karnataka have been calling me on my alternate number saying that the jio number shows in my name and address as per their SDR records and they have been questioning us and reaching out to us to provide clarification. I even enquired with jio customer care and they have clearly replied in mail saying the number is not owned by me and has been allocated to someone else. This is causing us lot of trouble in clarifying each and every police who calls us.
Please let us know how do we Proceed with this case.

You can file a compliant to the police and provide them with a copy from Jio stating that your number has been relocated and is not used by you.

Maybe you are a victim of blackmailing now, once you got a call from the so-called "police from Karnataka" immediately go to the Police Station of your Local Area and apprised him all the facts, if necessary the file a written complaint and take receiving of your complaint.
Also, write a letter/mail to JIO of the incident. You can also make a complaint to TRAI in respect of mismanagement of allocation of your previous SIM/mobile no. as its matter of your privacy.
