Compensation for not joining after accepting the offer letter

I accepted an offer starting I will have to pay the damages if I don't join them as per the joining date. I am not joining them because of another opportunity. Can I company go legally against me?

A.Hello,
As you accepted the offer it becomes your obligation to fulfil it, and if you cannot join them, you must convey it to them and must try to solve the matter mutually.

As per the facts, there is an existence of acceptance, it becomes obligatory on your part, and if in case you are not joining than, you must communicate it to them and try to settle the matter.
