Sir my friend , she is been getting severe torture by her nearby family and as we are studying abroad we couldn't lodge any complaint so can her mother could give any complaints regarding it and would there be any problems to her , like traveling etc.

Yes, anybody can move criminal law of justice in India. Mother being the natural guardian as such she can lodge complaint and if required police may record statements through video conference if you are residing Abroad.
