Unnecessary C-section for healthy mom and child without any complications Unnecessary C-section for healthy mom and child without any complications

My friend's sister got admitted in a private hospital in Chennai for normal delivery. She and her baby is healthy by the all scan and test reports taken. But, the doctor artificially broken the water, saying to induce labor manually, without even waiting for the baby to reach cervix/for starting of the labour. She simply broke the water and made emergency situation to force the family members to agree for c-section and did c-section unnecessarily and unethically. I want to know is there a way to file a lawsuit against that doctor and hospital for doing this? This is most common in her hospital, as per my interview in nearby.

A.Hello,
Yes, you can file a complaint in the Police Station and simultaneously file a suit against both the doctor and the hospital for such medical negligence
