TItle: If my wife is from ST community and I from General community will our children all the benefits of ST community?

Hello, Now as I doing decent in my life I thought to settle down. But as I am just meeting the ends I am thinking to marry a girl from ST(Schedule Tribe) as I have read in the various legal forum that even if a girl from (OBC/SC/ST) community marry a guy from General community their kids get the advantage like reservation in a job, college, school of (OBC/SC/ST) community. I just wanted to be cross-checked whether it's true or not by asking a lawyer. I looking forward marry a girl from ST community.

A.Hi,
Generally the child belongs to father’s caste. However, the child can claim the mother’s caste also after he attains the age of majority.
However, If the child grows up in the social circle of his/her mother (ST inhabited area or family), then the child can either choose to be from General Category or from ST community.
