Job penalty payment for data entry
I accepted a job offer for data entry from Ignite data entry on 3rd November 2020. The company is based in Maharashtra. The job required me to complete 1000 forms in 10 days. I could not complete it since I was unwell. The contract of the job entailed me to pay 3400 as penalty if unable to complete forms. I payed the amount as i got a mail from their legal representative on 10:00 am and a call from their team around 10:10 am on 18th November as I could not complete due to ill health. I asked for the termination of contract for 6 months. But their representative asked me to pay an additional 3000 through a link called easebz. They said if I do not pay within 15 mins I will have to pay 4000 rupees to receive the next slot for data entry as I defaulted the work. I asked what will happen if I don't pay the money, their representative said an advocate from their legal team will send my case to court and on default I have to pay 25000 rupees. He said I had the option to cancel the contract if I paid 3000 rupees. And I had to pay it within 15 mins before 11:00 am before my case was sent to court for breach of contract. I panicked and paid 1500 rupees through the link sent to me on WhatsApp. As a student I was I was enticed by the job offer for the salary of 11 000 rupees because I needed some pocket money. Now that I have spent 3400 rupees, I am worried if this entire ordeal was a spam. Please provide me with a solution because I have blown up what little savings of pocket money I had.

But they also can not get any more money.
The way the communication happened, it was scam and not a proper company.
Hope this clarifies

You may file a police complaint, if any further demand for money is made.
Moreover, you should immediately send your resignation letter to the company.
