University course refund

Hi, In 2016, just after passing my post graduate program i had enrolled for a phd degree from a college called seacom institute. I had paid around 50k for the course , 15k before coursework and 35k after passing the prelim test. However i got to know that the value of phd from this college is not worth. Thus I did not continue, now that i am asking for the refund for the research work which i did not even start, i dont get any response. Do I stand any chance is getting my amount back? Plz help . 35k would be sufficient.

A.Hi,
More facts will be required to ascertain whether you are eligible for a refund. Normally, colleges would not refund such amount if you have not asked for the same immediately after leaving the course.

1. Did you join another college for PhD after leaving the course at seacom?
2. Did you ask for the refund immediately or are you asking now, after 4 years?
3. When you enrolled, did the University mention anything which indicated whether refunds will be provided for discontinuing the course or not?

when you discontinued the course ?
you passed prelim test ?
you can send a legal notice through lawyer.
