Due to COVID restrictions we couldn't make rental agreement for 2020-21. want to know if i can have rental agreement now with effective from 01st of April 2020 to 01st of March 2021 and claim HRA allowance or suggest me right way to claim my rental allowance as exemption

A.hi,
yes you can,
you have to attach an affidavit and Noc from you and your renter respectively.

A.Hi, yes you can
attach an affidavit signed by you and your renter also a NOC.

A.If the house owner agrees then you can have the rental agreement from 1st April,2020 itself

A.Yes. We can make rental agreement for 2020-21 and about the HRA you will have to ask in your company.
