Succession Succession

Consider A nd B as husband nd wife in Joint hindu family. And C nd D as their children's (heirs)
Now Husband A dies and he has ancestral property with him and according to section 8 of Hindu Succession Act it will be divided among C nd D(heirs) and the wife of deceased A.

Now my question is that......

If wife(B) of deceased (A) want's to make will of the husband's property she got in succession as her part and want's to will the property only to C (one of the heirs) but not to D.

Is it legally valid?

but why we consider A nd B as husband nd wife ?
they were not husband and wife ?

the mother have rights on her part.
There are ways by which she can give it to anybody from c to z and even XYZ.

Hope this clarifies,
