I was told to show my driving license by the police...but unfortunately i forgot licence at my home so i was not able to show him ..i asked for 20min so i could bring my license by calling my brother..he didn't listen and handed me challan ₹5000.

A.Dear Sir,
You may challenge such action in the High Court by filing application under Section 482 of CrPC.

A.Hi,
The rules mandate that the driving license must be carried by the owner when driving, so the policeman was within his rights to fine you.

You were in violation of the law because you did not have your driving license with you while driving.
