Advice on section of IPC applicable

My Father in Law Mr PJ who is the eldest of 3 brothers and together with their Father SS had an HUF from 1955..
On the demise of their Father SS, the younger brothers took control of the HUF & disposed of Bank Accounts belonging to HUF, filed Income Tax Returns without knowledge of Eldest brother Mr PJ. Legally Mr PJ becomes the Karta of HUF on demise of Mr SS being the eldest son.
Subsequently Mr PJ filed criminal compliant against the younger brothers..The younger Brothers gave attached statement before the DSP accepted that they had used the property belonging to HUF but forgot to insert name of PJ in Bank Accounts and ITR forms of HUF which they will get rectified..
Your advise is solicited for sections of IPC under which the younger brothers can be booked and chances of winning the case..
