If the situation is very severe, then then the best recourse would be to find an applicable solution by involving senior family members from both families. If this amicable solution does not work, then a divorce petition can be filed by your mother and file for maintenance under section 125 C.r. P.C. this would help you in preventing harassment to your mother and you and would also give you the inability to sustain your livelihood through monetary compensation.
Foremost, with regards to any of the property that your father inherited from his ancestors you and your mother would be qualified as class I legal heirs, and by virtue of law whether your grandfather died without having a will made, you both would get an equal partition in the ancestral estate.
