Once the tenant vacates the house, By when should the landlord return the security deposit if no such clause is mentioned in the agreement ?

A.Dear Sir,
The landlord has to get keys of vacate premises and in turn he has to hand over security deposit.

It will vary from state to state.
However, many states give you 30-45 days to return the security deposit, but some states require you to return the deposit within 14-15 days of the tenant's vacating the apartment.

However, many states give you 30-45 days to return the security deposit, but some states require you to return the deposit within 14-15 days of the tenant's vacating the apartment.

A.The tenant has the right to ask the deposit money while vacating the premises ( then and there). If the owner doesn't return the money send a legal notice and then can file a case for recovery of money.

If the tenant vacated the premises with prior notice to landlord then land lord has to return the deposits paid at the time of rental agreement

A.It behoves the landlord to immediately return the security deposit once you leave the tenanted premises. Serve him with legal notice of demand and recovery of security deposit in case he doesn't return the same.
