I want to sell my row house property in faridabad. I am asking valuation certificate from buyer but he is denying. Is it ok to sell the property without valuation certificate?
A.Dear Sir,
Valuation Certificate is not necessary and not mandatory as each Sub-Registrar office will maintain a book value for properties of different areas.

A.Hi,
In case you are a seller, a legal piece of document certifying the true worth of the property would be of great help. The buyer could in no way accuse you of overvaluation, and this also ends the scope for bargaining. Your property valuer could also tell you ways in which you could add value to your existing property.

A.Hi,
In case an immoveable property has been sold on or after 1st April, 2017, it is necessary to produce a Valuation Certificate from a Government registered valuer showing the fair market value (FMV) of the property as on 1 April, 2001 for the purpose of calculation of Long Term Capital Gains on sale of property.
