Can I file a FIR against a guy for harrasing me and my Girlfriend by making a false obligations in the society that he was in a relationship with her. And also he harrased my girlfriend on Social media platform facebook. Can i file a FIR?

A.Hi,
Complain to the police for defamation and outraging a woman's modesty under Sections 499, 500, and 509 IPC. The cyber police can help in tracking his location. The social media platforms can ban him if there is sufficient proof of wrongdoing.

Yes, file a complaint with the police under Sections 499, 500, and 509 IPC for defamation and outraging a woman's modesty. You can also contact the cyber police and report him on the social media platforms.
