Is there any time duration for a civil case to start the enquiry

Regarding our land dispute we filed suite 2 years before, but so far no enquiry was happened, postponing the suite by vaida's, in this case is there any way to request for the enquiry or is there any time duration to start the enquiry, how it is. Please clarify my doubts.

A.Dear Sir,
As per circulars the maximum limit to dispose any civil case is 9 months to 2 years. You may approach my office for necessary advise.

A.Hi,
You may seek assistance of a lawyer and approach the Court to reopen your case.
However, in a civil suit, the defendant is supposed to respond within 30 days after the Court issues summons. In case of failure, the Court may issue a judgement in plaintiff's presence.

The period of limitation depends on the suit and usually in terms of immovable property it is limited to 12 years.
The defendant in a civil suit is supposed to appear before the Court with statement of defense within 30 days from the date of service of summons. In case he does not appear, the court can pronounce the judgement on in his absence.
