Criminal defamation case

I have filed a criminal defamation case in jamtara court for publishing defamatory news about me,The case is in the final stage of arguments.
My question is who will put their arguments first the complainant or the respondents.

A.There is no such rule but as a mater of practice it is the complainant who has to submit arguments at the first instance.
