Someone is out to get me because of our friendship ended on bad terms and they are threatening me to ruin my image my filling a false case to police as covid is going on I want to refrain myself from going out what should I do

A.Hi,
Threatening somebody is an offence however the charges if any offence depends on the degree of offence. For instance Section 503 specifies the elements for criminal intimidation but only after knowing full facts can the charges be put on the accused. However since you are clearly facing mental harassment due to these threats of false case and defamation, your case will be considered at a higher ground. But in case the situation worsens you will have to file an FIR in the nearest police station for your safety.
