Need advice to get my Degree certificates

Hi, I have submitted my original degree certificates in the college where I worked as a Lecturer. As per the T&C when I joined, I was asked to pay 2 months salary as penalty if I want to leave the college without completing an academic year(I have proof for this). After I actually resigned my job, they mentioned that the terms have changed and I need to pay 4 months of my salary. Due to this conflict, they have withheld my original certificates.

Pls clarify if they can, first of all, hold the original certificates of the workers(Lecturers). Also need your advice to get my certificates in a legal manner from them.

A.these type of incidents are happening frequently in the private firms now a days.
you must send them a legal notice asking them to return your original certificates and also claim damages from them. if they do not return your certificates even after legal notice than file a civil suit for mandatory injunction against the college administration.
and also write to the concerned university and higher education board about act and conduct of the college administration.

A.Please cause a legal notice first. If they do not respond, you can take action by filing a suit for recovery of your certificates and also make a complaint to the University Concerned and the relevant Directorate of Education.

A.On the facts stated actually management is not doing the things legally. If they are not willing then issue a legal notice to them to hand over your certificates and salary.

A.They cannot change the condition after that. You can move to court by way of a complaint
