Mutual Concemt Divorce Second Motion
5th may was my second and final hearing,my lawyer told me ,the courts decided to postpone it to 23rd july without uprising me or my ex spouse.my spouse also asked for a postpone the same time. My lawyer claims it is because of covid that the dates got postponed. I smell something fishy. Please advise if I should change my lawyer?

A.Your lawyer is correct. Till June court will function virtually and only urgent matters shall be taken up by courts.

A.There might not be anything fishy as most of the courts are closed due to lockdown and all likelihood the hearing might have been adjourned due to it.

A.Hi,
The courts usually go on a summer break within first two weeks of May which is why your dates have been changed. It is also pertinent to note that the covid cases have only gone up in the second wave; therefore it is not your lawyer's misdoing.

A.Hi,
You need not do such a thing because your lawyer might be right. Please also take into account that there are many cases pending in the court which is why the dates are so stretched and also that the courts take a summer break.
