Family Tree certificate for getting bank balance of deceased transferred

I was the only child(daughter) of my father who passed away recently (Mother expired few years back). In order to get the balance monies from his bank account transferred to me, bank has aske4d for a Family Tree certificate. Wanted to enquire how to go about getting this certificate in Mumbai

A.Family tree you can get from tehsildar or collector office.
If there is something more than bank account then get succession certificate.
If there is something more than bank account then get succession certificate.

A.As such there is no family tree certificate. You can file case for succession certificate or letter of administration from court.

A.You can get the the the family tree from the local councilor pf your ward. Get in touch with him and he should be able to help you out with that .

A.Hi,
You will need to apply to tehsildar's office/collectorate office in person. You will have to submit the duly filled form, and it will be issued to you.
