Hi, I am a designer and I recently started freelancing for an international client. My question is, do I need to register for GST? My income is below 20lakh inr.

A.It is not mandatory but good to have it as if your business goes more than 20 lac then you will have to have it.

A.Hi,
It is advised that you should register for GST since you dealing with International Client to avoid further legal complications however GST registration is optional for companies with a turnover of less than or equal to 20 lakhs INR.

A.Hi,
Gst registration for turnover less than or upto 20 Lakhs INR is optional and voluntary. But it is advisable that you register yourself, as to enjoy the benefits of ITC.
