Problem after paying in cash

I took money from a person by cheque and paid him back in cash and he is demanding more money and threatening to file a case against me. What should i do
A.Dear Sir,
He may file only Civil Case and it will take 3 to 4 years to decide.

A.you wanted to take advantage by paying in cash so he turned table.

A.Whenever you pay in cash remember to take a receipt singed by the receiver and keep it for reference purpose. Since you have not taken it so he is taking advantage of it. Now you can't help it. You have to near with this.

A.You have committed mistake by making payment in cash. If you have proof of payment then there is nothing to worry.

You'll need to collect evidence in the form of witnesses or other relevant evidence to show that you've paid back the money. Moving forward, pay the money back by cheque or online transaction.
