1000/- balance
I had balance of 1200/- in my mobile balance.
I recharged with 1 month pack of 199 having 1.5GB data + calls etc for my child online school.
My child was attending online school in mobile in that separate mobile.
I forgot the last date of pack and my child was not reading SMS so child also not seen and told me.
One day my child complained that internet is not working. I checked and seen that pack expired and internet company took away full 1000/- mobile balance for internet charges for half hour internet. When I complained to mobile company they told they charged 1000/- for 250MB data and they sent SMS warning for pack last date.
My question is that it is my fault to forget about pack but why mobile company not stopped internet.
it is wrong to take full 1000/- for so less data. It is cheating.
Can I complain to consumer court ?
If yes, how much I have to spend to get back 1000/-
You can complain to the consumer court for any deficiency in service and the court fee for valuation of goods under 5 lakh is nil. But also remember that the case would not be readily disposed of as the court takes around 90-150 days to settle a dispute.

Yes you can complain with the consumer court. Usually the valuation of goods and services which are below 5 lakh are not charged but please keep in mind that on an average the consumer court takes 90-150 days to settle a dispute.

There is a law by which companies can not do price fixing and because of that air prices are in control.
But same law is not applicable to mobile companies to fool Indians.
so in short, to get back your 1000/- you have to go all the way to supreme court spending lakhs.
If you wish you can file a case but will not have any benefit.
The government lost control over mobile companies. Make it big issue on social net work as they are cheating the public.
