Regarding property

I payed 11 lakhs Rupees via NEFT to a property dealer in September 2016 which was a partial payment for buying a property.He said it will take time to transfer property and he gave me signed cheque of no date on it.Now its 2021 and he continue giving excuses and keep saying next week next week.
If i would invested same amount somewhere else it could be good for me.What legal action i could take action against him please help.

A.Your claim stand time barred. You are required to take few steps to bring the case within limitation. Thereafter, you can use cheque by depositing the same and by filing case under negotiable instruments Act. You can also file case of cheating, recovery.

A.Hi,
You should wait a maximum of six months to a year for your money to be returned in such circumstances. Send him a legal notice demanding that he returns your money right away. If he continues to persuade you to wait, state unequivocally that you are unwilling to invest in this property and that you want your money back immediately, and then file a civil suit.

A.Hi,
You should demand your money back from the property dealer at once. If he refuses, send him a legal notice and then file a lawsuit for recovery.

A.Ask back the money you gave to the property dealer. Initially try to negotiate and if he doesn't agree at all you can consider sending him a legal notice and if he doesn't reply or comply with the same you may file a case against him in the civil Court.

A.Send him a legal notice followed by a civil suit where to recover your money. You may also file a case of cheating and fraud against him if you wish.
