I got an opportunity from a company, but it's fake . I clicked the option given as "sign agreement" in the email Send by the company as per the information of coordinator. but after that, I got another email then it's showing that i signed the agreement and they gave me agreement and acceptance letter. Actually the job is captcha typing. Absolutely it's a scam, because the site that I applied have 75% scam reports. After 2 days my phone is not working properly and by doing this job and it's Too difficult and they didn't give any reply for my queries after starting the work. So I decided to quit and i send the email about it to them, finally they call me and asked me to pay 25000/- and if I didn't pay they're going to move legally . I didn't gave them any bond but they're saying like this and the company is not in Google. So what I have to do ? Is there any legal problems for this greatest scam upon me?

A.Hi,
Many such companies are run by fraudsters and use such intimidation tactics to extort money. If they start threatening you then lodge a police complaint stating that you were cheated on promise of employment and that you are being blackmailed for money. You can file the complaint u/S 415 and 383 IPC.

A.Hi,
You can consider filing an FIR against the company for cheating u/S 415 IPC and also for attempting to extort money from you. For the latter offence, they can be booked under S.383 of IPC.

A.These data entry fraud cases are done by those companies which are fake and and they themselves are fraud and harass simple and common boys and girls from villages and small towns. You must know how to save yourself from these type of fraudsters and protect yourself.
First of whenever you get a job offer of these kind from an unknown company to do data entry do not accept that job as mostly they are fake jobs.
Secondly before accepting ask them to send a job offer letter and the company profile and website.
Ask them to send the company GST no. PAN no. CIN no and check the same online whether they are valid or not of they are not valid then just ignore and do not go ahead.
If suppose they threaten you then tell that you are going to file a police complaint and lodge an FIR against the data entry fraud company and then hopefully they should stop harassing you.
Never ever pay them any money whatever happens.

If they trouble you then You can initiate ODR- Online Dispute Resolution process on Vidhi Samaadhaan through this link https://www.vidhikarya.com/online-dispute-resolution and try to get it resolved.

A.Hello,

Don't worry, it's a cyber scam. The work-from-home job or captcha entering jobs scams are perhaps the most common online scam.
You can file criminal complaint to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, Ministry of Home Affairs or Local Police station in this regards.

Thanks with best regards
