Recovery of dowry
Can we file a police complaint to claim dowry if the inlaws refused to return it? But the divorce/domestic violence case is still in court but there is no hearings going on due to COVID. So can we file a police complaint to recover the items if the case is already in district court?

A.See if the case is going on in the court that means if the case is sub judice then you can not take any action on that matter.

A.No, you can't complain to police for recovery gift. Dowry is prohibited but any property given during the time of marriage will treated as a gift for the purpose of claim.
When court, resume it's business you can file petition for recovery of property which mentioned above.
