A.You can change your name by publication. i) Declare change of name on an affidavit solemnly affirmed before a Notary Public. ii) Publish the change of name in Government Gazette. iii) Issue a public notice / advertisement in two leading newspapers one in English language newspaper and another in vernacular language of the area where you live.

A.To change your name you can apply for an e-gazette via Directorate of Government of Printing and Stationery, Mumbai. As regards to the change in name in your 10th and 12th marksheet, you can apply to the concerned educational board via an application form and attach some necessary documents depending on the reason and type of change in name.
