Parenting advice on youtube Parenting advice on youtube

I offer parenting advice on youtube. Being a mother of a 7 year old kid I share my experience with people and help them make better and informed choices regarding parenting. Few days back I was contacted by a random lady who posted negative content about me on her facebook account. She was critical of my youtube channel stating that I had no right to misuse my freedom of speech by giving advice without having a medical background or degree. I want to ask is there any law which prohibits someone from sharing their advice on parenting unless they are certified in some manner?

A.All kinds of people will say something or the other about every good and bad thing happening in the world which need not be given importance all the time, just do your work with responsibility and in an informed and well researched manner and nothing harms you, at the same time learn to take criticism positively except in the case where it goes out of the way, the way you have right to post your content freely even others have right to criticize it freely. Thank you.

A.See parenting tips are not medical tips and and unless you are prescribing any medicines to anyone there is no need to have a medical MBBS degree like a doctor. Tomorrow they will ask Baba Ramdev to get MBBS degree to before he starts talking about yoga and health.

In today's internet world everybody is openly writing and saying negative thing so just ignore what is of no use.

A.Hi,
Article 19 of the Indian Constitution guarantees everyone the right to free speech and expression. Just as you have the right to give parenting advice, others have the right to praise your work critically. There are no restrictions on you educating or sharing your point of view unless you provide false information. It's also a good idea to make sure that any information you post is properly researched and does not spread misinformation.

A.Hi,
The Constitution of India grants every individual freedom of speech and expression under Article 19. just like you have a right to profess parenting advice, the other people have a right to critically acclaim your work. There is no bar you teaching or communicating your point of view unless misinformation is given. Also, it is better to ensure that whatever content you publish is properly researched so that the viewers benefit from watching it.
