Claim of rent for common property using for commercial

My two elder brothers running family business in common property. My father expired in 2009. Can I claim rent from 2010 January for using common property for business. Which is not devided
A.If you have right in the property which is common property then you can ask for rent for being used by other occupants.

A.Hi,
Since the property in interest is undivided and has a ancestral background to it, therefore it would imply that you as a legal heir have an equal claim in it. You can ask them for a share in the cumulative profits that they make or can file a suit for partition.

A.Hi,
If property is used by your brothers for other than family business then you can claim rent for the property. But if used for family business purpose then no rent could be claimed but you can claim profit.

If property is used for family business then you can't claim rent but can claim share of profit in the profit of the business. But business is not family business then you can claim rent for use of family property in their business.
