I am a Indian national living in Mumbai. Can I renunciate my Indian citizenship without getting citizenship of other country?

A.As per Indian law, you can only give up your citizenship if you acquire the citizenship of any other country.
Moreover, even if it was possible to give up citizenship without acquiring another, under international law you would become a stateless person.
Being stateless has a lot of disadvantages - you'll have no legal protection, no legal identity, you won't be able to travel outside India, etc.

A.That's absolutely not possible because then you will have to become alien as you will belong to no country. No country will allow that.

Indian law doesn't allow for it. You can voluntarily give up the Indian Citizenship only when you acquire citizenship elsewhere.

A.Hi,
It is not possible. Indian passport holders on acquisition of foreign citizenship are required to surrender their Indian passports to the Embassy.
