For investigation report we approach to police station but they are not willing to provide the report. Police says that because its a Part-A file which is submit to court only. But to approach high court this investigation report is mandatory. What is the way to get this investigation report from police ?

A.Why do you need the investigation report? If you need the report to for any any further action in any court or any higher court then you need to file an application in the court to get an order asking the police to submit the investigation report either to the court or to handover to you for further actions by you. You yourself cannot go and ask for it and police will not handover it to you just like that.

A.Dear client,
Investigation report of a case is not handed over to accused , it is official, only court has power to call for the Daily report I. e investigation report.
In bail matters, when court call for Daily report, then only can get from the court record to know the report inside.
Which can be helpful while filing Bail application to higher court / H.C. only for concerned Advocate before court

A.Hi,
The police authorities cannot give you the investigation report since it is submitted only to the court to avoid any alterations in it. You may choose to defend in the lower court or file a quashing petition u/S 482 CrPC before the HC.

A.Hi,
The police cannot hand over the investigation report to the general public since unwarranted changes can be made. You can file an original suit before the HC if you want to issue a summons to the police.
