A.Hi,

You won't lose your job. Marrying a Christian lady won't affect your job. For that, you don't need to even change your religion as Interfaith marriage is possible as per the Special marriage act. Christian marriage in India recognizes a marriage between a Christian and a non-Christian with certain necessary permissions from the respectful authorities and even otherwise also such marriage can be performed and registered under Special Marriage Act,1954, but anyhow if still you wish to convert to Christianity it would not affect your job.

A.Although for marrying a Christian girl a non-Christian boy doesn't need to convert to Christianity and vice versa as Christian marriage law in India recognises a marriage between a Christian and a non-Christian with certain necessary permissions from the respectful authorities and even otherwise also such marriage can be performed and registered under Special Marriage Act,1954, but anyhow if still you wish to convert to Christianity it would not affect your job in India as India is a secular country and right to faith of an individual which is guaranteed by the Constitution of India, 1950, does not affect job of an individual however depending upon the policies of the Govt which keep on changing with time it is possible that you may loose caste based reservation benefits. Thank you.
