I have worked in deemed university in gujarat for 12 years. i resigned from my duty on 31st march-2021. At time of resignation my sick leave balance was more than 50. am i eligible for that sick leave encashment.

A.Hello Sir
It would he advised to first confirm with the HR department regarding the policy of your college regarding the leaves. If sick leave are covered under Paid leave then you could claim encashment for the same, otherwise not.

A.Hello Sir
It would be advised to contact the Human Resource (HR) department of your college and ask them do they have policy regarding the same. If so then you could claim it from the college.

A.Usually as per the HR policies Sick/Casual leaves are not be accumulated and can't be encashed unless your organization has made internal rules to do so. Normally only the paid leaves are to encashed. So please check with your HR that did they have the policy to allow encashing of sick leave or not.
