My name is Md Mansoor Alam .I made an agreement with a consultant that if after going through their training programme I accept any job offer ,I would have to pay certain amount of money to the consultant.After going through their training programme of fifteen days I gone through an interview where I got selected .The company sent me the mail that you have been selected.I didn't got offer letter from the company side and I have not signed on the offer letter.Now the consultant is pressurising me to pay the money and if I will not pay the money they will file a lawsuit against me.Will it be considered that I have accepted the offer without signing on the offer letter ?? Should I pay the money to the consultant??
Whether you have accepted the offer or not, will depend on the fact that whether you have joined the company or not. If you have not joined the company, then you are not bound to pay any penalty. But if you had joined the company, then it would be deemed that you have accepted the offer letter, in that case you are bound to pay the amount.

till you get the offer letter from the concern company and you have accepted and sighned that letter you are not libale for paying to consultancy agency
