USA citizens stuck in India USA citizens stuck in India

I got married in 2005 in India. Since then lived in Los Angeles till 2019. Me , my husband and 2 minor kids are US citizens . Currently My Husband is in India and works for US based company in Los Angeles ( working from home ) . My husband has left us at my parents place in the city and he is living in his village alone . He refuses to support us financially since 2 years. He refuses to pay kids school fees too . Although Iam in India , can I hire a lawyer in Los Angeles who can help me get Financial assistance straight through his company in Los Angeles . Any legal advise would be much appreciated.

A.Hello Ma'am
As you are a citizen of United States of America, the law applicable on you would be of US not India. Therefore you could surely hire a lawyer in Los Angeles and get help through him. Also this could only happens if your Husband company has such policy regarding your problem. Although it would be suggested to contact your husband and solve the issue amicably.
Thanks

A.You can do so only if the USA company has any policy to allow you to have maintenance paid from the company, To figure that out you can seek the help any USA lawyer then proceed ahead. Also in that case you will have to file a case in USA for which currently you might have logistics issues.
I think you can still try to file a case of maintenance in India through a local court where you are residing and start getting the maintenance for your kids and yourself.
