Fight among office colleagues

A was caught by B having sexual act in office. A dropped the girl and came back and abused B and also got into fight. A got bigger wound. B took A to hospital. B was given ice pack and bandage. A was taken to bigger hospital but is fine now. A's relatives threaten to beat him. A now claims fight was about B not allowing him to work and A and his relatives threaten to file a case if B doesn't give money and shift himself to other department. A always had affairs and everyone knew but no case ever reported officially. What should B do?

In every company, there is certain decorum to be maintained. Usually the HR handles such problems of obscene situations in the office. B can report this incident to the HR and the board of directors about such threats. However, if A wishes to pursue this case legally, B would be liable since he has physically caused hurt to A. B can find remedy by proving his stand with adequate proof.

A.If A was involved in office romance then internally it can be reported to the management and some disciplinary action can be initiated against him. May be even POSH, depending on what the involved woman has to say about it.
Since B hurt and caused injuries to A hence B can be booked under the criminal law for causing hurt and injury if A goes to police.
If A is asking for money then this can be told to police when they file a complaint to the police. Now what B can do is discretion of B as to what he wans. If he wants to avoid all complications then can do what they are asking him to do. If he wants to fight it legally then involve the management for further action.
