Aadhar information
If someone give us a zerox of aadhar card to represent his/her identity, can we verify that information online right or wrong?
A.Hi, earlier this feature was only available for government institutions and banks, etc, but in a recent development, even the general public can verify another person’s Aadhaar as a part of the background check conducted especially while hiring domestic worker, driver or tenant, etc.
You can follow the following steps for the same:
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website - www.resident.uidai.gov.in/verify.
Step 2: Now, under the 'My Aadhaar' click 'Aadhaar Services'.
Step 3: Now click on the 'Verify an Aadhaar Number' option.
Step 4: You will be redirected to an Aadhaar verification page.
Step 5: On the new page, fill in necessary information like name and Aadhaar number.
Step 6: After you have entered your information, click on the ‘Proceed to Verify’ button.
Step 7: If the Aadhar number is authentic, the status of the number will be displayed.
Step 8: If the Aadhar number is wrong, you will receive a notification informing you of the same
