In Maharashtra, the government wants to promote inter-caste marriages to finish the caste discrimination from the state that why the government started a beneficiary scheme in the favour of inter-caste marriage which is known as the “Maharashtra Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme”. Under this scheme, the government provides an incentive to the married couple if a boy or girl from the general category will marry with the scheduled caste boy or girl.
-Under this scheme Rs. 50000/- will be given by the state government to the newly wedded couple
-Under this scheme Rs. 250000/- will also be given by the Dr. Bhimrao Amberkar foundation
-The incentive amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries bank accounts
-There is no income limits under this scheme anyone who will marry in inter-caste will get an incentive
