Start -up company not releasing salary by saying they don't have funds right now Start -up company not releasing salary by saying they don't have funds right now

I was hired in a Start u company without any offer letter or written document for the profile of Team leader. The Director of that start up company said that he will provide in hand salary of 35000 apart from incentives and PF deductions. I joined on 4th June 2021, and he only provided full salary of June month. For the month of July, i got salary in broken amounts like 18000, then after few request 7000, then 5000 then 1000. rest is still remaining and not received any amount of August month a single rupee. Now i have company's laptop and director is Threatening me to lodge an FIR against me for keeping company asset. And when i ask for salary, he just say that they don't have funds right now and he will only pay when i return the laptop. But now i don't trust him. Please advice me what to do. It's very urgent

A.Hi,
You can consult a lawyer and issue the company a legal notice. You can give some reasonable time if you want, to the company to provide you the entire amount and that also should be mentioned in the said notice.

A.See if you wish you can send them a legal notice to recover your money and also to establish that you were working for them. Since you donot have any offer letter the legal notice will help you to establish the employment which can be used for getting your money from them and also to save you in case of any case against you.
