I purchased a flat 2 years before.
I am not residing in that flat. I am paying the full maintenance from 2years.
There has been excessive usage of tank water and diesel for generator making the maintenance charges high month by month.
My question here is should I pay the complete maintenance and pay for water and diesel used by the other residents ?kindly help is there any rules regarding maintenence break up?

A.Dear Sir,
When you are not residing you are not require to pay maintenance but some Associations collecting maintenance charges irrespective of it is kept vacant or not and accordingly a resolution must be passed otherwise you are supposed to pay such maintenance charges.

A.Hi,
It depends upon the terms and conditions of the agreement. Generally, the residents have to pay the amount for such maintenance and that would be mentioned in every agreement deed which has to be followed once the buyer signed the agreement.

A.Rules on maintenance should be made by the association in AGM and let the residents pay accordingly. For example just like the electricity meter you can have water meter too to ensure that the payment is done as per the usage.
