Forgery in deed
I purchased a land from a family who were the legal owners of the plot. The plot itself is beyond any legal dispute. But the roads or passages shown in the deed map fall into other person's plot. They cheated by showing the roads to my plot in others property. Can I seek legal proceedings against the sellers for forging the deed map. As the persons in whose property the roads are shown warned me not to use it as my road.
A.Dear Sir,
You can immediately lodge a complaint with police and also approach Civil Court after issuing legal notice for refunding your amount along with compensation for your mental torture. The owner of the property cannot mislead the bonafide purchaser by showing false documents.

A.Hi,
You can initiate legal proceedings against them. It is the duty of the seller to disclose such facts to the buyer before the sale any kind of misrepresentation makes the contract voidable at the option of the buyer. You can claim that in court and make the contract void and also plead for compensation for your losses.

A.Yes you can file an FIR against them for fraud and cheating and initiate a criminal action against them. Additionally if you are suffering because of the misrepresentation then you can file a civil suit to seek compensation from them too.
