i had applied for gst registration of my freind but he didnot signed office rental agreement so i called to him for the same he said to do his signature. so formerly i make signature on rental agreement and applied the gst registration and got approved after few months gst office issue a notice to my friend for doing fake invoice in gst my freind doesnt no about the business one of his friend offers to do fake business on commission.
and friend has given complaint aginst him he did not mention my name for i took gst registration for him
and i doesn't no about is business and what they have doing only i took registration with forgery sign as his says my question is any offence will arise against me

A.Hi,
If the officials find out you have done it, then they will book you for the offence of forgery under Section 463 of the Indian Penal Code. However, going by the facts you have mentioned, it seems like they will not question the validity of signatures so, you will not be involved unless they pinpoint you.

A.You have done an offence because although the investigation is now for fake invoice but if on enquiry later on question will arise regarding that signature part and if your friend denies it to be his signature,then you will be in difficulty.Whoever commits forgery shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
