ABOUT GOVT INSURANCE SCHEME
Dear Sir/Madam, I am Aswani Bhupathi, from Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. Here, I am writing to you to know the information, about the following issue. My mother's name B.Vijaya Lakshmi died on 21-07-2020. My father applied for Govt Insurance Scheme, YSR BHEEMA in Andhra Pradesh as per eligibility criteria. Initially, the claim status is under process due to budget allocation. After that, when we contacted them, they said that from 1st April 2020 to 31st October 2020, the Bheema scheme was under the Central Govt. of India. And the same department has not paid the premium to LIC for that period, so the claim policy is not valid. Can you guide me, if there is any legal process to do about the above? Because my concern is about What do the nominees have to do about the same because some are below the poverty line? Thanking you in advance.
You can file a grievance on the official website of the Insurer, or you can email or contact Insurer to express your dissatisfaction.
If the issue is not resolved at the insurer level, you can file a complaint with the IRDA IGMS site online. If your problem isn't handled at this level, you can take it to the consumer court. Let us know if you require any further clarifications.
Thank you!
