Streedhan successor along with the priority of the successor Streedhan successor along with the priority of the successor

Sir/madam,

Please help me with a legal query:

My mother has a immovable property on her name given to her during her marriage by her parents she being the only child. She expired few years back and when I applied for her legal heir certificate as her only daughter as well as only child I was provided a legal heir certificate with my father and myself mentioned as my mother's legal heir in the certificate. I want to know if my father has any right in the property on my mothers name as that as per my understanding falls under "streedhan" category. Also please let me know ways to prove that the said property came from my mother's home at the time of marriage.

Please elaborate on the priority
of ownership of the property in case my father has any right in the property.

A.Dear Client
Streedhan is a property for which a woman is sole owner and has absolute power to alienate it in any way she wants. Since your mother died intestate hence the streedhan tag does not carry any great meaning as of now and post her demise the property belongs to the common pool wherein all the legal heirs will be entitled to a share.
