My mother and father came from a village in Karnataka in 1970. After that he settled here in Pune. Ration card, Aadhar card, voting card are here. But when he applied for the caste certificate, he asked for the school leaving certificate but it was not accepted as he was from Karnataka. Therefore, caste certificate was not obtained. Can you please help me with this?

Caste certificate is issued by the state government basis the domicile. You have to showcase the domicile of a particular state to get the caste certificate of that state. By showing certificate issued by Karnataka it is not possible for Maharashtra to issue a caste certificate.
