My Friend passedway as he was diagnosed with covid pneumonia, severe acute Resepiratory Distress syndrome, known Hypertension and hyperglycemia and expired on6th june21 , he has Home Loan and have insurance , but unfortunately our insurance claim has been rejected by ICICI Lombard saying there is no evidence of any of major medical illness covered and defined under the policy hence claim falls outside the purview of the Major medical illness and procedures defined and covered . they simply rejected our claim and saying covid not covered in this policy.

A.Dear Client,
Lot of banks are accepting the death by COVID as acceptable reason for claiming the insurance policy and I believe it should be too. If the bank is rejecting the same then move an application to Consumer forum.
